6 WEEKS! (1-1/2 MONTHS), 11-22-2009. IT IS BY THE GRACE OF GOD I HAVE MADE IT THIS FAR! ALL I DID WAS TAKE THE STEP! IT IS SOOO REWARDING! I JUST FINALLY TOOK THE STEP, THREW ON A PATCH AND PRAYED TO GOD…AND HERE I SIT TODAY WITH VICTORY! I NEVER REALIZED HOW MUCH TIME SMOKING TAKES OUT OF EACH DAY! – That habitual reaching for a cigarette, driving and even thinking about smoking IS DIMINISHING RAPIDLY. I did not think that coming up on 3 weeks, that I would feel so good, along with many of the habitual triggers getting less and less. Places that smokers have been smoking, smells like a old stail wet ash tray…and does not smell good at all. TO ALL: NO ONE IS WEAK FOR USING STOP SMOKING AIDS! DO NOT FEEL GUILTY IF YOU FAILED COLD TURKEY. Anti-smoking products are NOT a cructh, but a blessing and a HUGE advantage for you. CAUTION: Regarding generic nicotine patches coming off, and were not fully adhiesive when I went to replace them. If your are or going to use the Nicotine Patch, USE: NICODERM, it will make all the difference in the world. Plus I have backed down to only 1 zyban (wellbutrin) a day, because it creating to much anxiety. TODAY AT 6 WEEKS I HAVE FOUND THE ZYBAN (WELLBUTRIN) TO BE VERY HELPFUL.

DAYS 8 to 12 – Oct 22, 2009: PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH US, TO HELP US ALL in the battle to QUIT SMOKING these cigarettes. Thank You As in the video I am on Day 12 and using still adjusting and anaylizing my use with Zyban (Wellbutrin), and nictonine supplents – DAY 3 was the HARDEST DAY so far, EVEN with using the NICOTINE PATCHES & GUM. TODAY Days 8 through 12, have been so much better. Food tastes better and I noticed I have a lot more time now, than I did when smoking. I have been smoking for five years now and am sick and tired of it. They are expensive, and since I am only 22 I think I need to quit while I am still young and have not had any major effects from it, like breathing problems.

Can anyone give some tips to help fight cravings that do not include the gums and patches? They are too expensive for me to buy and I would rather not have to buy them.

Anyone got any ideas? I plan to quit when my two packs of cigs run out.

That is to surround yourself around people who don’t smoke. Studies have shown people become the average of the 5 closest people in their lives. This will greatly influence you to smoke less and even not smoke at all. For instance, if you are around people who smoke, you will end up smoking too much. But if you are around people who don’t smoke, you won’t be tempted to smoke cigarettes or even cigars. So get a sheet of paper and write down a list of 5 people you know who don’t smoke. And start hanging out with them more. You will notice hanging out with non-smokers will influence you to get rid of your old smoking habit.
